1102.

பிணிக்கு மருந்து பிறமன் அணியிழை
தன்நோய்க்குத் தானே மருந்து.

piṇikku maruntu piṟamaṉ aṇiyiḻai
taṉnōykkut tāṉē maruntu.

cure for ailments
are found elsewhere
for the disease she causes
she alone is the cure

జ్వర కారణం ఒకటైతే మందు వేరొకటి
తానే ఒక జ్వరం, మరి తానే మందు!

1104.

நீங்கின் தெறூஉம் குறுகுங்கால் தண்ணென்னும்
தீயாண்டுப் பெற்றாள் இவள்

nīṅkiṉ teṟū’um kuṟukuṅkāl taṇṇeṉṉum
tīyāṇṭup peṟṟāḷ ivaḷ.

If I move away, it burns
if I come closer, it cools,
where did she
get this fire?

దూరమైతే దహనం, దగ్గరైతే చందనం
ఎక్కడిదీ ఈమె జ్వలనం?
