This Suffering/ఈ వేదన

This suffering, is finite!
The end is well in sight.
The life one still has left to live
Is shorter than the one so far lived
(And may be easier as well, one hopes!)
The thought arrives in a flash
And leaves me with a strange peace!

ఈ వేదన అనంతమేమీ కాదు
అదుగో కనిపిస్తోంది వెలుగు
ఇన్నాళ్లూ బతికిన దానికన్నా
ఇక ముందున్న జీవితం చిన్న
మెరుపులా క్షణం మెరిసిన ఈ తలపు కాంతిలో
మనసుకు ఇదివరకెన్నడూ లేని కొత్త శాంతి!
