We started with listing out the different things the students wanted to learn. The list included topics such as:

We spoke about algorithmic thinking and computational thinking. We refered to Chapter 1 of The power of computational thinking by Paul Curzon and Peter W. McOwan, for this.

Then we started on Chapter 2, with the example of Bauby who has locked-in syndrome. We talked about how he was able to communicate using a system of blinking his left eye, and how this is an example of how we can use technology to help people with disabilities.

We discussed various ways Bauby’s left-eye blinking could be used to communicate, the various problems that arise from this and tried to come up with solutions to these problems.
